Heart on sleeve electronica, Skies Up, provokes emotions through folky vocals and celestial soundscapes laid over dance-inspired beats. 

Creating music became a way to process the complicated twists and turns of life, escaping daily pressures through discovering a new world. Delving deep into self reflection, the lyrics attempt to unearth illusive and troublesome thoughts and feelings, combined with rhythm and melody to entice them out. ​

"Skies Up is an electronic exploration of celestial-dancey-beat-driven-enquiries into the strange world that is my brain. I'm trying to capture a sonic capsule of hazy memories by weaving together natural sounds and field recordings, with samples, drum programming and soundscapes. It's the twinkling of pretty lights in a gritty and darkened room. It's the moment lost alone but calm with your thoughts in a sweaty rave. It's the stomach punch of yearning for the intangible, nostalgic connections you make at festivals, the new year's eve shooting star that makes you question what the hell you are doing in life. It's the strange dance of love and isolation. As you can tell, I can't quite put it into words, so instead I'm trying to put it into sound."
 

Now based in Scotland but always connected to Bristol, Skies Up explores a cross section of electronica, dance and folk, blending soundscapes with words about curious cosmic encounters, using the creation process to help unearth illusive emotions tied up with sensory overwhelm and burn out. Making music has been a huge help in overcoming exhaustion and, as a neurodivergent, is a key for managing mental wellbeing . ‘'Windows and Dust', Skies Up's debut EP, Co-produced with London's Will Smith (Jamie xx, Avalon Emerson, Mad Willing), is dotted with choral influences, acoustic guitar and textural percussion. 'We Will Find A Way' was played by Silas Gray on his Reprezent x Pirate show as the number one submission for June 2023. Skies Up most recently remixed 'Eye of it All' by Kloyd, featuring T L K which was released as part of the remix album on Soundcloud. Recent performances include a stripped back live performance and a DJ set at Shuffley Daze Festival in Wales.​
